Hey Everybody! How are you all? Hope everything is well. Time for another blog post! It's no secret that I am heavily influenced by the 80's! In my opinion the best decade and time period for music. I get nostalgic for it even though I didn't exist for the majority of that 10 year span. With this latest entry I want to tell you all about my latest piece, a composition that is in the style of 80's pop taking cues from two classic TV shows of that era, "Knight Rider" and "Miami Vice." The composition came from me watching episodes of both shows and listening to their theme songs repeatedly. I love that big, huge, booming sound that the 80's is well known for. Synththesizing was also a major part of this piece. When I hear it, I picture myself in Don Johnson's role of "Sonny Crockett" role with the top down, burning rubber on a straight away, with open road as far as the eye can see! I hope enjoy it as much as I do. I had a blast making it! The 80's is alive and well, at least from where I sit! Thanks everybody. Talk to you all again soon.
Cheers, Leigh
