Hey Everybody! How's it going? Hope you all are superbly well! Let me just clarify something before I write the rest of this post, YES YOU ARE READING THE TITLE RIGHT! Okay, now that that's out of the way, let's get into it! The story of producing this particular beat is fairly simple, really. I did use an empty Coca Cola bottle as part of the beat's drum kit. I was sitting at my desk, finished drinking a bottle of Coke, and almost instantly thought "Hey, I wonder if using a Coca Cola bottle would work." Here's an idea... TRY IT! So I did. I played a simple pattern on the first and third beats in a bar and just built around it with stock sounds from the production program I use. It came out sounding, at least to me very outer space, Star Trek like. Aside from being extra creative and using the Coke bottle, I love how the shaker sounds as well. Probably one of my favourite patterns I have ever played. Also, other than wanting to see if it would work, I used the bottle to do something new, something different, something that I thought would set me apart from everyone else! To my knowledge, I haven't seen or heard of anyone else using a Coca Cola bottle in the production of a beat. If you haven't heard the track yet, it's posted above this paragraph. Please enjoy it, let me know what you think, and SUBSCRIBE to my YouTube for more original instrumental and beat productions. Thanks everybody! Talk to you again soon.
Cheers, Leigh

2/14/2017 0 Comments Uptempo Pop/R&B Love Song Type Beat "I've Got You (No Worries) - Happy Valentines Day!Hey everybody! How's it going? It's Valentines Day! So first and foremost, Happy Valentines Day to you all! It's the most CUPID CERTIFIED day of the year! With that said, most of the music that I know of that has anything to do with love, relationships, broken hearts, and Valentines really isn't all that upbeat and positive, so I wanted to change that trend. My original instrumental composition, "I've Got You (No Worries)" is meant to be an uplifting, happy feeling tune for all the good times. It's also meant to remind any member of a couple why they fell in love with their partner in the first place. A new breed of love song, if you will. I hope you all enjoy it and have a wonderful day. Happy Valentines Day everybody!
Cheers, Leigh Hey Everybody!
How's it going? Hope you all are awesomely well! Valentines Day is fast approaching! With that said, I want give you all as much HEART WARMING goodness as I could! Today, my gift is a commentary on Valentines Day and relationships in the current state of the world. In the video, which is posted above this paragraph, I give my opinion on all types of relationships and the notion that the more material possessions someone has, the better their lives are, the more exciting they are, and that the quality of their lives increases immensely. I hope you all enjoy it and have a wonderful Valentines Day! Cheers, Leigh Hey Everybody! How's it going? Hope you all are superbly well! Valentines Day is right around the corner! With that said, I want to give you all a whole bunch of CUPID CERTIFIED stuff to celebrate! To start off, a poem I wrote back in 2009. The idea for this piece came about as part of a course I took in college. It describes the yearning for and loving a woman from a man's perspective. It is not about any woman I know in particular, but I suppose a combination of all those I have loved whether up close or from a distance. I got the chance to perform the poem at a college event, shortly after I had written it. It went over well and became a bit of a hit in the school, amongst the other students in this course, and with other students and faculty in the college and nearby university. I hope you all enjoy it and have a fantastic Valentines Day! Love, peace, and everything in between! Have a great one everybody!
Cheers, Leigh What's going on everybody? Hope you all are well! In this post, I wanted to give you an inside look at my latest instrumental release, "I Am The Man (There No Denying That!)" It is inspired by the Bruno Mars smash hit and album of the same name, "24K Magic." When I was writing and producing it, I knew I wanted a song with loads of confidence, lots of swagger, a song that would put some pep in your step. I feel like I accomplished that with this track. This is without a doubt one of my most favourite tracks to have written, performed, and produced! Everything just seems to fit together REALLY well! From the drums to the main synth lead, I love it all! It's a giant musical puzzle that will make you feel so, so good! I hope you all love it as much as I do! The video and artwork are posted above. Have a look, have a listen, and have fun with this one! Thanks everybody! Today, I present to you an original composition entitled, "Are You Listening?" Brand new for 2017! I was inspired to write the song from a mixture hearing the pop and EDM music that is common place on the radio and charts today, along with the pop music and films of the 80's, like "Beverly Hills Cop." It is without a doubt one of the favourite songs that I have written and produced! A lot of fun on this track! I hope you all enjoy listening and getting down to it, 'cause it was a ton of fun for me to put together! Thanks everybody! Cheers, Leigh Hey, how's it going everybody? Hope you all are wonderfully well! I'm going to try and recount one of the greatest, coolest, humbling, and happiest moments of my life and career, so far! Hosted by my old friend, Christopher "Chris Mac" MacIntyre, we talked about me, my career, how the whole fascination with everything entertainment and media started, shared some stories from our college days, and tried out some stand up comedy on each other! Nothing but good times in this interview! Hope you all enjoy it, I will link it below. P.S. - Thanks again for having me, Chris! Really appreciate it. You are the man! Cheers, Leigh |
