NCIS Hawaii has been 2 more performers to its cast. The upcoming CBS police procedural has added Tori Anderson and Kian Talan.
According to an article from Deadline.com, Anderson will play "Kate Whistler", an ambitious agent in the Defence Intelligence Agency, who is described as great at her work, the politics involved in getting ahead, and having more to her than is initially first thought. Honestly, when I first read the description of the "Kate Whistler" character I thought and still think the she might be a little of an adversary to the NCIS Hawaii team, or I could be completely wrong and maybe she won't be. Kian Talan will play "Alex", the oldest child of Vanessa Lachey's "Jane Tennant". The "Alex" character is described as being a good kid, but not always making the best choices. NCIS Hawaii is shaping up nicely. I'm really looking forward to it, and can't wait for it to premiere. Are you looking forward to watching NCIS Hawaii? Thank you for your time. Todd Phillips has signed on to write the sequel to the incredibly successful, "Joker". The original film, which was released in 2019, is an awesome origin story for the "Arthur Fleck" and "Joker" characters. It dives deeply into a man who is mentally ill and just wants to be accepted by society and people around him, but he is shunned instead, and made out to be looked like a bad, evil, sick man.
Personally, as much as I really enjoyed the original "Joker" film, and yes, it did leave the door open at the end of the movie for a sequel, and thus, it looks like that's what is happening, I just don't think "Joker" needs a sequel. Yes, it's a great film, Todd Phillips did an amazing job with his writing and directing, and Joaquin Phoenix does a phenomenal job in the "Arthur Fleck/Joker" role, but I have a feeling that trying to create a sequel around a film that is so loved and highly successful is almost, if not just impossible. Hpw do you follow up such a masterpiece? A "Joker" sequel sounds like an absolute Mt. Everest. I am looking forward to seeing how this sequel could potentially take shape. There's more information in this article from "Screen Rant". Are you looking forward to a "Joker" sequel? Thank you for your time. Best Regards, Leigh Dickey A Scooby Doo Reunion Special is coming to The CW later this year. According to an article from Screen Rant, the classic animated property will be adding a reunion special to its catalogue later this year, with it airing on The CW at some point in 2021.
The Hanna Barbera mystery solvers are following suit, with many other nostalgic television and film franchises and going down the reunion special trail. Of course they're putting their stamp on it and poking fun at it all at the same time. This reunion will celebrate the more than 50 year history of Scooby Doo, as Fred, Velma, Shaggy, Daphne, and of course, Scooby Doo reminisce and look back on their entire history together. ...and in true Scooby Doo fashion, there's a mystery to solve! My understanding is that the special will be set on the Warner Brothers lot, which in my opinion is very cool. Also, I'd love to see as many Warner characters as possible thrown into this special, if even just for a cameo appearance. Personally, I've been a huge Scooby Doo fan my entire, and am still a massive fan today, so to see that Mystery Inc. is getting another special makes me all warm and fuzzy. (Insert smiley face emoji here!) Are you a fan of Scooby Doo and looking forward to this new reunion special? Thank you for your time. Best Regards, Leigh Dickey The Powerpuff Girls live action pilot is being reworked at The CW, according to an article from TVLine.com. Apparently the pilot for the live action adaptation of the popular children's animated property came in a bit too campy for those in charge at The CW. The pilot was produced with the intent of making The CW's 2021-22 television schedule, but unfortunately didn't make grade.
After reading the article from TVLine, it seems that there is enough their for the network to still be high on the project, it just didn't tick all the boxes this time around. That said, all the cast and crew from the pilot are staying on board and the network is giving it another go, considering the pilot and show for a spot further on down the road. Admittedly, I am not the demographic for The Powerpuff Girls or The CW, and personally I don't think that The Powerpuff Girls is the type of property that needs a live action television show, but I don't work for The CW. I don't mind the apparent campy nature of the original pilot because I am a huge fan of the Batman television series from the 1960's that starred Adam West and Burt Ward. What do you think? Are you surprised by The CW wanting to rework The Powerpuff Girls pilot? Thank you for your time. The series stars Elodie Yung as Thony, a doctor who travels to the United States to seek medical treatment for her ailing young son. In order to afford the treatment, she takes jobs as a waitress and cleaning lady.
She witnesses a mob murder one night, and to save her own life she offers to make the hit and all the blood disappear, using her cleaning supplies. She then agrees to work for the mob as their "cleaning lady", making blood and evidence disappear in order to save her young son. The trailer for "The Cleaning Lady"depicts Elodie Yung's "Thony" as just a mother wanting to cure and save her child, but having to do whatever she can to make that happen, which entangles her with the mob, and she encounters all the issues that come along with that. The trailer also shows a very loving, caring side to the "Thony" character as she fights for herself and her son, as well as showing the character slowly descending further and further into madness with her mob entanglement. Are you excited and looking forward to "The Cleaning Lady?" Watch the trailer here. Thank you for your time. In this trailer, William Petersen and Jorja Fox are seen as the returning Gil Grissom and Sara Sidle, with Matt Lauria and Paula Newsome coming in as newcomers to the CSI family. Petersen stated that the way crimes were solved 20 years ago is very different to how crimes are solved today, which is undoubtedly very true. I enjoyed the trailer, given its sort of behind the scenes look at how the revived series has come together and will play out when it airs. I have read that this revived series is meant to be a limited series, and honestly, I'm hoping that is not the case. I'd love to see it get renewed for a second season. Perhaps, I'm just being biased because I am a big fan of the franchise. It's an updated take on an old property for a new generation of fans. Are you excited and looking forward to the CSI Vegas revival series? Watch the trailer here. Thank you for your time. Best Regards, Leigh Dickey NBC has renewed the latest Law & Order spinoff, "Organized Crime" for a second season, and according to series creator, Dick Wolf, it will likely consist of 3 eight episode arcs, bringing the episode total for season 2 to twenty four.
Moreover, in an article from TVLine.com, NBC is going forward with an all Law & Order prime time lineup, with the newly ordered Law & Order: For The Defense, Special Victims Unit, and of course, this second season of Organized Crime. In the trailer, Lachey elaborates on her Jane Tennant character, the character's family, and the role she will play within NCIS Hawaii and the NCIS franchise.
I will say, it is an interesting trailer. Perhaps, I expected more or a bit too much because I am a fan of NCIS and understand the premise of the franchise, its shows, and its fandom. I thought they could have shown more than just Vanessa Lachey talking to the camera with Hawaii b-roll thrown over top. That said, I am excited for the premiere and launch of NCIS Hawaii. I hope it's successful and has a long run. Watch the NCIS Hawaii trailer here. Are you looking forward to the premiere of NCIS Hawaii? Thank you for your time. Best Regards, Leigh Dickey CBS is making changes to its prime time programming schedule next season. The top network is moving one of its most highly rated shows, NCIS from its usual Tuesday at 8pm time slot to Mondays at 9pm, to act as a lead in for the new and upcoming NCIS Hawaii spin off.
According to TV Insider, the move is being made to give NCIS Hawaii a strong lead in. With NCIS shifting to Mondays, this will clear the way for an all FBI Tuesday prime time lineup, with each of the Dick Wolf created dramas occupying the 8 to 10pm time slots. What do you think of NCIS moving to Mondays? Thank you for your time. Best Regards, Leigh Dickey Kevin Pillar, an outfielder with the New York Mets was at the plate against the Atlanta Braves on Monday night, when he was hit in the face by a 95MPH, which is more than 151KM for everyone in Canada or on the metric system fastball, thrown by Jacob Webb.
While it drew blood and was one of the scariest things I have ever seen in a baseball game of any kind, at any level, ever, Pillar did manage to get to his feet and walk off on his own. He later posted on Twitter thanking everyone for reaching out, but that he was doing fine. My reaction and thoughts on what happened are in the video in this article, along with a video of the incident itself. Thanks for your time. Best Regards, Leigh Dickey |
