Fozzy - Drinkin’ With Jesus - My Music Favourites - Beats and Speaks Podcast

Hey Everybody! How’s it going? Hope you all are awesomely well! Another one of my musical favourites for you all today! This one is actually more current. It’s as current as current can get. It is the second single from Fozzy’s upcoming studio album, Judas, which is set to be released on October 13th. The song, track, single that I’m talking about is... Drinkin’ with Jesus. I’ve always had a love for metal music and I began listening to Fozzy around the time All That Remains was released in 2005, and I’ve been a fan ever since. I absolutely love Drinkin’ with Jesus because it has a hard driving energy, a hard driving lead guitar. It sounds very melodic, like you hear in almost every single pop song. Chris Jericho absolutely delivers on lead vocals! Along with the instrumentation being as high energy as it is, Jericho himself keeps that same energy and just absolutely knocks the performance out of the park! The drum and percussion work on Drinkin’ with Jesus is top notch. It just seems to sit really well underneath the guitars and bass, all around I’m really impressed, it’s really well done. The song is called Drinkin’ with Jesus, clearly it’s about drinking, but also a song that kicks some serious ass! It’s hard, it’s melodic, it’s metal, it’s perfect! It’s a song that I love because not only am I a fan of metal music, I love the glam or pop metal sound of the 80’s, and even though Drinkin’ with Jesus is hard than most metal songs that were released in the 80’s, it still, in my opinion has a pop, melodic feel, and I love that! If you all love Fozzy, metal, songs with a lot of hard driving energy, or even just a song to crank on up, Drinkin’ with Jesus is the perfect song for whatever you need it for! I can’t wait until the Judas album is released next week, I’m definitely going to buy it as soon as I can! Cheers,

Leigh Dickey
