"The Blues Brothers" is my favourite movie of all time! I love this movie and its sequel. I thought it would be fun to just review the trailer. "The Blues Brothers" is a feature length film based on a "Saturday Night Live" act of the same name.
Jake and Elwood must secure $5,000 in order to keep the orphanage where they grew up in Chicago open and operating. The movie is two and a half hours of an awesome soundtrack, great stunts, car chases, and just good fun. The trailer shows all of that and gives the movie away, unfortunately. The trailer, which is obviously supposed to promote the film is more than 4 minutes in length and in my opinion, shows too much. "The Blues Brothers" itself is a great film, with a great soundtrack and cast, but to condense the whole movie into just over 4 minutes, I think is a shame. Some of the great scenes shown in the trailer include appearances by - Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Henry Gibson, Carrie Fisher, John Candy, and many more. The voice over for the trailer is great, and I love the cover of the "Peter Gunn" theme performed by "The Blues Brothers", which plays throughout the trailer. I did review the whole film, on an episode of the "Yeah, About That" Podcast. which you can listen to here. (The review starts at about 00:44:12) Are you a fan of "The Blues Brothers?" Thank you for your time. Best Regards, Leigh Dickey
