10/29/2017 0 Comments The Closer The Holidays and Christmas Gets, The Nicer People Are! Beats and SpeaksHey Everybody! How’s it going? Hope you all are awesomely well! A bit of an observational piece for you all today! I noticed over the past several years, probably somewhere between the last 10 to 12, that the closer the world gets to celebrating Christmas and the holidays, people get a WHOLE lot nicer! Which is great and all, but I’ve also noticed that it doesn’t last long. The second the holidays are over, we as people revert to the way we were before the holidays and Christmas, which when you think about it, is REALLY, REALLY SAD! I’m just saying, of course. I think we always have a lot of that “me first” mentality for the majority of the year, and I’m pretty positive that, that plays a factor in why people aren’t always as nice as they could be. Like I said, the fact that people are extremely nice around Christmas and the holidays is great, I’m not knocking it. What I have problem is that we as people wait until Christmas and the holidays to exercise the “nice” gene, and I don’t get it. I, myself am an incredibly nice guy. I’m an upstanding young man, I’m sure my friends and family will back me up on that. I mind my p’s and q’s, as best I can. I respectful to everybody! Yes sir, no sir, yes ma’am, no ma’am. I’ve always had manners, I’ve always used them, and I’m not saying I’m the only one. It just seems that the majority of people I see in my everyday life, with a few exceptions are jerks! I mean, it’s the simple things, like offering to help someone if they seem to be struggling with something, offering an elderly person or pregnant woman your seat, holding the door open to let someone through, throwing away your garbage after you finish eating food or drinking a drink. Simple things, Ladies and Gentlemen, simple things. I don’t see enough of that these days, and it’s sad. All I’m saying is that we as people should be nice all year round, instead of just around Christmas and the holidays because then it looks like and comes across as completely fake, a total act, and we’re all smart enough to see through an act. Just a little for food thought, folks! I’m not saying this stuff to be mean, it’s just my own personal observation from what I see in my everyday life.
